The event took place at the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown Hotel on 350 West Maryland Street. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Red Ten NYC attended the North East regional Leadership Conference hosted at the Holiday Inn in New York City on 27<sup>th</sup> April 2013. The event was held for professionals in the direct marketing and sales industry who were looking to develop their careers.</p>
<p>The Holiday Inn in New York City is conveniently located close to many of New York City’s big attractions, including Central Park and Times Square. Although the hotel is just a short journey from Red Ten NYC’s head office in Manhattan, representatives from the firm’s Boston division were also in attendance and took the opportunity for some sightseeing before the conference started. The venue is a popular choice for corporate events due to its suite of dedicated conference and meeting rooms.</p>
<p>Over 250 professionals from across the Northeast states were in attendance, ranging from promising salespeople in the early stages of their career through to regional managers. There were 6 key speakers, all of whom had successfully run one or more sales companies. The theme of the conference was becoming a better leader, and topics included effective training, team development, creating a positive working environment and driving sales. The event also allowed time for a meet and greet session with the speakers and a networking session. <p>Last week, New York based sales and marketing firm Red Ten NYC announced that their ‘Local Markets’ Strategy, which focuses on improving the companies knowledge of their neighbouring community and their buying behaviour has boosted sales by 2%.  ‘Its<em> early days’ </em>said a spokesperson for Red Ten NYC. <em> ‘A new strategy which centres on the idea of helping our local community was introduced on 1<sup>st</sup> March 2013. After 30 days we have seen a significant improvement in customer acquisitions numbers.’  </em></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Outsourced sales and marketing company Red Ten NYC have signed a deal with Assurance Wireless in a Government-backed campaign to provide phones for underprivileged households in the Boston area. Red Ten NYC recently opened new branches in Boston and Dallas due to the firm’s success in generating customers for telecoms clients in New York City.</p>

<p>Assurance Wireless is a federal Lifeline Assistance program provided by Virgin Mobile. The service that is available to individuals who may otherwise struggle to afford a phone connection. Typically beneficiaries will be on public assistance programs such as medical or housing aid. Households that qualify will receive a free cell phone with 250 free minutes and text messages per month. Assurance Wireless has run successfully in Massachusetts since September 2011 and Red Ten NYC are excited to help assist their marketing reach in the Boston area. Assurance Wireless’ statistics report that Massachusetts is home to over 210,000 unemployed people who would be eligible for the Assurance Wireless program.  Boston is the most populous city in the state with a population of 618,147 in 2011, of which 21% live below the poverty line. A source from Red Ten NYC said: “We are very proud to have been selected by Assurance Wireless to bring their services to people in need. The service empowers its users – we have heard testimonials from unemployed people who used it to help secure a job, and disabled individuals who can enjoy independent lives, confident that help is just a phone call away.”</p>
<p>Red Ten NYC will support Assurance Wireless’ existing marketing campaigns, which include commercials and social media campaigns. Red Ten NYC will supplement these with direct marketing strategies, whereby representatives interact directly with individuals where they work, live or shop. A source from Red Ten NYC explained: “The Lifeline Assistance program sells itself; the problem our clients have been facing is getting the service to the right people. Much of our target market is seriously economically disadvantaged, and as such is not always reachable through traditional channels of communication. Our approach will be to target eligible communities and individuals and directly bring the service to them.  The face-to-face approach allows the customers to ask questions and register with the service immediately.”</p>
<p>The US telecommunications industry is huge business, accounting for $1.1 trillion spending in 2012 according to the Telecoms Industry Association. Assurance Wireless estimates that if the 28.5 million adults eligible for Lifeline Assistance received the service, an additional $3.7 billion would be available to economically disadvantaged people. Red Ten NYC is confident that with their proven track record dealing with telecoms clients, they will be able to bring between 8000 and 11,000 new service users per year.</p>
<p>Red Ten NYC will launch the Assurance Wireless campaign in Boston, MA on April 1<sup>st</sup> and in Dallas, TX later in the month.</p>
